Mobil 1 Synthetic and Castrol GTX High Mileage are the common picks here.
It depends on your mileage and weather climate, however the common pick for a 100k+ mile engine is 20-50wErick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

What vescocity oil should i be using in So Cal where the temperatures range from 45-95 (usually only 65-75 though). I've always used 5w30 because it's what my dad buys and i get to use it for free. I've also grown up on using FRAM oil filters...anyone have any Pro's/Con's?Comment

Weston, at LEAST switch up to 10w 40, I don't care what people say, your car will be happier with it. If you want to go balls out, go to 20w 50. Thats what my friend puts in his 87 is [and what I use as said]Comment

i use mobil 1 synthetic 20w50 but i live in phx az where its hot as hell. but depending on average temp out side i would use something a bit lower. 60-70 degrees i would say 10w40 would be your best bet with fall around the corner. i would also say use synthetic oil but my friend tells me that once you start using it you can't stop so be aware of that. also its really hard to find 10w40 synthetic motor oils where i live but that just might be a localized thing. definately go synthetic at the bottom of this i have left a web page that talks all about your oil and the positives anegatives of mineral and synthetic oils would have hyperlinked but i dont know how so cut and paste and definately check it out.
