are the vdo and motometer clusters interchangible? could i take a tach from a motometer and put it in a vdo?

i thought of another question. it has gone from 3/4 on the dipstick to the bottom line in a few months of not driving it everysingle day, should i switch to like 20-w50 ? i dunno whats in there now

Yes, they are interchangable.

If you look at the front of the cluster you can easily tell what parts are interchangable


if the cluster has 3 RED SI Lights, then its hte older revision, and only parts with 3 RED SI Lights can be used.


If its the later one, it will have 1 RED SI Light


3 / 1 RED SI Cluster parts are NOT interchangable
