There's a couple connectors, if I remember correctly. On my old Eta, I think the 02 that was attached half way down the exhaust had a TWO prong connector. Then, up in the engine bay, there was the 4 pin connector used by later years. When I swapped to I-exhaust, the I-o2 connected right up.
Either way, if you can change the connector to what you need, you shouldn't have trouble. As long as you get the heater, ground, etc etc all the same.- Sean Hayes

I'm currently trying to put in a new O2 sensor in my '86 ES. I followed the E30world writeup with the Mustang sensor but it won't thread in. When I bought the car the O2 sensor was dangling down and all beatup, so I'm not sure if the exhaust bung's threads are fine as I can't test factory fitment verses my new one.
Should my Mustang O2 just thread right in? If it should, it's not, so what are the thread dimensions so I can get a tap for it?
