clip/pin that holds in gas shock

After I put my hood back on I drove around and lost the clip that holds in the gas shock that holds up the hood. Not a huge deal, but mildly annoying.

Any idea what kind of clip is used to retain the gas shock in place so the hood will stay open?

    Go to realoem.com.

    Find part #.

    Call dealer.

right, but i dont see any assocaited part near the gas shock, i see a part number for a nut that connects to the arm which holds up the hood.

      thats why i had asked.

You might be able to match it up with a random circlip at Lowe's or something. But, it's

all u need is a flathead, and slide it off the pin. Should take 2 secs. Be sure you have someone holding the hood up in case in falls on your head. Ask me how i know.

just find a short bolt and matching nut with a couple washers that will fit through the hole (I think an M6 size does). That's how mine is, since I lost the clip as well. Works fine this way.

I just paid $2.10 for the pin at the dealer. The clip is about the same price. I think they should come with every timing belt kit.
