$100 ok to r&r Control arm bushings (labor only) @ deal

I went to the dealer and asked what it would cost to r&r them they said 1200 pesos which is 100.00 at the current rate. I got the bushings from Bavarian, they were waiting for me in Laredo. I was told to have it done cause you need a press & special grease?

Is that a good price? I have no clue what it would cost in the States.

$100 is great... you've got cheap labor down there. My mech charges me $100 to do a valve adjustment (which is why I do them myself now).

The price is a bit much for Mexican labor.Around 800 pesos is more like it when I asked my dad.I grew up 5 min from Matamoros and my parents still take their cars there.Dont see how nuevo laredo area.Still way better than dealer.

I am in Morelia, 700 miles south of Laredo. I know it's exctly 700 cause I just did the 1400 mile round trip! 12 hours there 11.5 back not sure how I did it faster coming back. This is at the BMW dealer here it's 1200 pesos. the exchange right now is 12.4 again I know cause I just exchanged pesos fopr dollars for stuff my brother in law wanted me to buy while I was there.

The Pep Boys in Laredo was taking 13.6 freaking thieves! I asked teh guy he said it's set by B of A figures.

I think I am better off doing it there & getting the dealer warranty since I don't think I can do it myself. Am I right I need a press to get it out/in?

Take the susp. apart and have them do it. It should be cheaper. I forget exactly how much I paid in NJ but it was def cheaper than that.

Is this quote for labor to take the whole setup apart and do the bushings or just for the pressing?

This is to give them the car & bushings & come back to the car with new bushings in. R&R the bushings complete job.
