and i will put the spare on instead of the suspected bent rim, and we'll see what happens, i'm running out of time to fix this problem because i leave for school in a week. so i will order rims and tires since i wanted all new ones anyway and have them put on over thanksgiving break and see what happens. this problem may have to wait till then. :(

throw your spare on to replace the suspect bent rim and see if it goes away.

if a rear wheel is out of balance then it will cause the whole car to shake. so if the wheel that hit the curb is bent and is now on the rear i would have it checked first.

Definately start by rotating your wheels front to back to see if that improves things. If it does, you know its a wheel issue. If that doesn't fix it, double & triple check everything that was touched in the recent work performed including all hardware torqued to spec.

If front of the car..associated to wheels or brakes, you'd feel it in the steering wheel...if whole car is shaking, and more seat of the pants and dash in addition to the steerting wheel, then suspect both front and rear. I'd put the spare on the rear and test drive to see how much of the vibration goes away. This will also help isolate the shaking. A Bent wheel is going to be felt whether it is in the front or rear.

sorry i should have clarified, the new parts were put on after the curb incident. and the wheel that took the curb hit is now on the back of the car and the vibration is def. coming from the front of the car.
    any other suggestions?

sounds like he did new control arms. I would look at the wheels/tires. you may have a bent rim?

Whole car vibrates at about 75 mph

the vibrating starts around 70mph and gets worse the faster i go. it vibrates the seat, the doors, the dash, the steering wheel. everything.

i just replaced wheel bearings, tie rods, control arms sway bar end links, shocks with koni SA's, springs with ireland engineering stage 3, control arm bushings with tree house racing eyeball arms, and added camber plates. got the car aligned after that and used tires on the front while i wait to order new tires and rims.

i hit a curb and thats when the vibrating started. i thought replacing everything would fix this, but it hasn't. any other suggestions?

    thanks
Working...
