Speedometer not working

So I took out my Speedo to clean the gauge faces because dirt was caked up big time on them. Well, I popped it back in, and now my Speedo is the only thing thing not working. I'm thinking I don't have the single wire plugged in the right spot into the green connector. Can ayone tell me what notch the single wire goes into on the green connector?

Took my cluster apart again, and realized the speedo need would go up, but not down. So I pull the needle up a bit, and It worked! Now the need is like majorly off, and won't stay at the 0 mark. It goes down past the 0 mark. HELP!

Yes, you can manually pull the needle, and re-situate it.

Bit of advice? A metal eating fork makes a great device for pulling the needle, just use a paper towel to protect the gauge face.

I can't tell you why your gauge is off. I can only tell you that, yes, you can pull the needle off and replace it in a new position. They are not indexed in any way. It's a round shaft - about as small as a sewing pin - and about 1/3 as strong.

Oh - well I'm at it. another piece of advice - the actually needle pointer is stamped metal. It bends very easily, and since its a U-shaped channel, doesn't want to go back - so be very careful. But, you'll be surprised at how much force you have to apply to get it off.
