    Selector Shaft Removal

How do you remove the end of the gear selector shaft that is connected to the tranny? I've got the end that connects to the shifter free.

Pull the grey locking ring off, and drive out the retaining pin.

hehe,,, i just did this... take off the few bolts that hold on the tranny underneath the selector rod, that will drop the tranny and extra inch and a half to give you some extra room, then you need to pull off the e-clip. there is a special tool for it, but I just did it with a hook tool. then it should just pull out.
