How do you remove the end of the gear selector shaft that is connected to the tranny? I've got the end that connects to the shifter free.

hehe,,, i just did this... take off the few bolts that hold on the tranny underneath the selector rod, that will drop the tranny and extra inch and a half to give you some extra room, then you need to pull off the e-clip. there is a special tool for it, but I just did it with a hook tool. then it should just pull out.Dan
