    Installing gauges (oil temp/pressure, battery)

Ive got a gauge pack with a 3 pod dash mount
I have an oil temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, and battery.
I dont have the senders for anything yet (however, the battery just needs a wire back to the battery... right?)
Is there an oil temp + Pressure sender in ONE that will screw into the oil pan drain hole?
or will I just have to bite the bullet and drill and weld a bung in?

      check me out
      Im just wasting bandwidth...
How do I install the sending units with electrical gauges?
Electrical gauge sending units are easy to install. On most BMW's, they replace existing sending units or drain plugs. For example, the Oil Pressure sending unit replaces the oil pressure sending switch, which is still used through the use of a special adapter only available from GaugeMan. For Oil Temperature, the sending unit is a direct replacement for the oil pan drain plug - the sender becomes the drain plug.
so I get a drain plug that is the oil temp sender... and a replacement for the pressure sending switch.

I went to the junkyard and pulled oil temp/pressure/volt gauges from an old cabrio and pulled the sensors along with them and threaded them into the stock low oil pressure sender unit. cost me a total of like 15 bucks for the gauges and senders, you can go down to a yard and find just the senders, they work fine

              Cabrios had a gauge pack?
I already have the gauges from my old Rabbit (Original VDO Old School Visions. Specifically made to match BMW interiors.)
I bought it from a guy with an E21 323i... and I never installed it on my Rabbit
its been a paperweight (a $65 one mind you) for the past 4 years.
I actually have 4 gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, battery and water temp)
dont need the water temp one though.

Just get the bmp senders. They aren't too expensive and work really well. Btw is your water temp gauge a vdo?

BMP wants $38.95 for the pressure sender
and like $30 for the temp sender.

I think Ill just stick it above the center vents

just for the record, I think the top pods look extremely out of place on our cars...
