you need to get the bushings off the arms (unless you're replacing the arms too). I used a torch to heat them up until I could just pull them off.. then you need the old bushings pressed out of the brackets, and new bushings pressed in.
then the fun part, getting them on the arms! let the bushings soak in hot, SOAPY water for a few hours. this will make it a lot easier. getting them on isn't easy with your hands, but it can be done. some people use a socket and a hammer to get the bushing on. it's probably a lot easier if you have the control arm off the car, then you can put it in a vice and wack away.
make sure you get the orientation of the bushings right (they are marked), and put the correct sides on the arms! if you get a left bushing/bracket on the right arm, you'll have to try and remove it without destroying your new (and expensive) bushings, which is much harder than getting it on. don't ask why I know this ;)
lastly, you'll want to get the car back on the ground before the bushings dry, and let the car sit for a few hours while it sets up.
