I had this same problem, but it wasn't the slave or the master, my clutch disk had fragmented. Granted it was at the track, it's just an idea. These guys are probably on the right track with the bleed idea. Best of luck with the fix!

Yikes, my slave was Ate and was $29.99 and I thought I paid too much since I got it at Bav Auto. The master was Febi/Bilstein and was $54.00. YOu need to start ordering your own parts, see my website for links to bma, bavauto, bmp design, and others you can get to know.

Call me later if yourun into any trouble,
But here is the general bleeding procedure..
Have a flexible tube over that nipple on the slave cylinder and into a clear container filled with fluid, (I usually use water) NEVER REUSE THE FLUID.

Make sure that the reservoir is always full,
pump the clutch until there is some resistance(5 times or so)
hold the clutch at the floor,
open nipple untilfluid stops coming out,
          Check reservoir,
pump clutch again and repeat the process unitl no more bubbles are coming out of the line, and the clutch feels solid again.
I don't know how basic to get with you but that is essentially it..
call me if you need any more help..

and I have yet to hear from UPS, lazy ass company.

If you replaced those parts without bleeding, then not a damn thing would be fixed anyhow. It might take awhile to get the hang of bleeding, (you need two people for Peter's method), but make sure no air gets in the line; it's very easy to let air in the line with the master cyl that 6 cyl cars got.

Did you check the clutch cable/linkage? A lot of times when the pedal goes to the floor and stays down, its because of a broken mechanical/hydralic clutch linkage.

that's the master cylinder, he replaced it completely.

ok, well i just tried to bleed the damn thing for the past 2 hours and it just keeps pushing out fluid and air without regaining pressure in the pedal.

there are breif periods of small amounts of pressure in the pedal but as i keep bleeding it to get more, the pressure just goes away. i stopped for tonight because i felt like i hadnt gotten anywhere, so any advice would help. o, and i did keep re-filling the resivour.

is their any point when i need to turn the car on or something? im gettin discouraged.

make sure the resivor stays topped up all the time.
keep bleeding until you get all the air out.
sounds like you managed to get a butt load of air into that system.

Keep a close eye, the master cyl reservoir is very tricky when it comes to keeping it full

keep bleeding until you get all the air out..
Its easy to notice this...no more bubbles..

You made a mistake in the first part thats why you're experiencing this....take a rest and a fresh stab at this tomorrow patiently and you'll bleed it right.

Might be worth buying a hand brake bleeder and using it to vacuum out the clutch line. Getting a lot of air out may be a real pia.
Driving is the only way to go faster....
