    power window problem

tonight when i went for a drive my power windows no longer work on either side. no noises or anything, just acts like the switches arent even doing anything. the windows worked fine earlier today. replaced the fuse, thats not the problem. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what might be wrong before i just start tearing into stuff.

Did you accidentally press the windows lock out switch?

If the switches lights aren't working then the lock window switch or a blown fuse.

Happened to me. As far as i can remember if you turn your head lights on and the power window switches are not illuminated then there is a issue with the safety switch in the dash. Rip it out and make sure all the plugs are connected properly. As for the windows being down get out an allen key, remove the little plug in the door and wind it up manually.

                    lockout switch

On most E30's its above your radio next to your hazard light switch, on some cars its on the center console next to your window switch(on my '87 its above the radio, on my '89 its on the center console).
