I hit something bad enough to slice through a 60 series tire and somehow bend a 14" wheel 2 days ago. I was thinking to myself as I bought a new Azenis for less than $100 CDN and put it on my spare wheel "this is why I don't have bling wheels".

Good luck with squeezing the city for it.

the wheels are O.K. to drive on, they shake pretty bad between 40-55, but other than that they are normal, so im definately keeping them on... still pissed though. I just got off the phone with the accident department of mass highway, they said to send them a letter with a diagram and what happened, they will find out what contractor was doing the work where the damage happened, send the contractor a letter telling them what to expect, and sending me a letter with the contractors info. I then have to send a letter to the contractor with estimates and diagrams and pics etc.... they can then decide:

      1)ok, well settle
      2)fuck you, we dont care

if they choose option 2, i need to go to small claims court against them

      this sucks...

They might pay. Friend had his civic with expensive ( notice i didn't say nice..) wheels on had this happen to him. Contractor for the town had dug a 3" wide 6" deep groove across the entire road, in a 55 zone, on a turn. Friend plowed over it and bent two rims, contractor had to replace them. good luck.
