    Vibration when I'm accelerating

Can you guys help me. This problem just started. There is a pretty obvious vibration when I'm accelerating hard. It does it between 3,000-4,500 RPM's in first and sometimes in second. Any ideas? I had the flex disk replaced about 6 months ago, could this part have failed in this short amount of time? Thanks.

Same thing started happening to my car yesterday. Brand new guibo, CSB, etc. with less than 500 miles. It was all torqued to spec.

mine did that up to about 25mph when my U-joint shot the shit. The U joint got prematurely killed by a bad CSB. Maybe your weak guibo allowed enough movement to speed up wear on the U joint.

see my post. The u-joint is a wear item on the driveshaft

                  Sorry, our posts crossed eachother.

Son of a bitch, I paid good money for this driveshaft too.

Is it a stock driveshaft or a rebuilt one?

I replaced mine with a rebuilt one that has a replaceable U-joint that isnt welded in. Id offer it up to either of you since I dont need it but since its for an 85 I dont think it fits.

You guys reply quick. What should I look for if its a driveshaft or u-joint problem.
The vibrations does not happen with every pull, just when I'm really on it. Would that mean anything?

Damn, if this is a problem, my driveshaft is about to break in pieces. My car has been doing this since I got it. :?

Well too bad this isnt happening to someone with an early car. :?

Mine did it under load. When I was accelerating. It was worst when I was accelerating form a stop around turns. If I let off the throttle it all but dissapeared and as I approached 25mph it faded until I became undiscernable above 25.

Ryan, that's exactly what my car is doing. You had a problem with the U-Joint. Where did you get your replacement? How hard of a job will this be?

That BMW driveshaft rebuilder in the roundel. "BMW Driveshafts" or something complicated like that. It isnt a horrible process but it can get tiring without a lift. You remove the exhaust and all heatshields. Thats the hard part, the rest just unbolts.
