    325i intake on 2.7 ?

I was wondering who's done this and what're your thought on it?
Will I need to port match the head? Does everything hook up like it hooks up
    to the 2.7 intake/Trottle body?

    Any performence gains?
    Thanks.

    What's that pic for?

It's been done many, many times. People say the gains are pretty decent. I have the manifold and t-body from a 91 325i if you want to make an offer on them.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

I did it but the dam thing would never idle right. I took it off and went back to the Eta manifold with the intake port enlarged to match the 325i TB.
        Im now E30less.

James, or Ryan. How did you reroute the hoses for the ICV when you went to the I TB? I have one sitting in the garage but I need to get the boot and a breather hose. I would like to put the ICV on the other side of the intake like James, but I think it will interfere with the vacuum hose for the brake booster since I will be running the eta manifold.

I thought you'd post ryan ;) I asked you a while ago about it on bimmerforums I think.
Would the idle just be too low or would it go up and down?
And do I need to port match to head or are the ports the same?

            Digitalwave:
That's a pic of my little 'e' manifold, just something to look at I guess.
If people are right, It'll deff. be werth the trouble.

            Ryan:
Don't be afraid to go into detail
How was the performence compared to the 325i intake and throttle body
and just the 325i throttle body on your stock intake?
If you could fix the idle problem and get everything switched back over to the
325i intake again by sombody for free, would you?

Probably allot of questions, but I want to know what I can expect when everything's setup.

Great! picture is working for me now.
What are your reviews? What can I expect?
Does yours idle wrong like Ryans?

Pulls nice and hard up to redline, and much better throttle response. Have not dyno'd it yet.

Idles fine, I had to reroute alot of the vacuum lines, but other then that its fine

                    James.... Ryan

How could you not have port matched?? :?
Ryan: maybe this is the reason your car ran like crap?
Seriousely.... Why didn't you guys port it?

Anyways, this is what i'm talking about.

I'm makeing a write up just intcase anyone is interested. :o

because to properly port it would require removal of head, or filling cylinders with metal shavings... if you're pulling the head to p&p, might as well just bolt on a 325i head.

Because pulling the head is more trouble then its worth just to swap intakes, especially on an ETA.

it does still help though, mine runs fine, new gaskets, no gasket sealant or anything

I switched the cold start injecer over and can't find a spot for that black vacuum line
that connected to a nipple on the manifold...
The black fuel filter looking thing on the fuel rail? You know what I'm talking about
                          (I forget the name)

Can I get a shot where you put your's at? Did you tap into the manifold?
                          Thanks.

                          I'm porting mine btw. :D

The FPR Vacuum line? I connected that to a nipple on the bottom of the throttle body

Keep in mind I have a 89 - 91 throttle body, so its a tad different then the 87-88 I throttle body

That sucks! I don't have one...
I gues I'll have to tap and die

                              Thanks james.
