Cabrio third break light How the hell do I replace it?

There are no obvious screws, no access from inside the trunk (tool kit is right under it)
    edit:
I found the four screws hidden under the foam above the tool kit but it still won't come off.

Bulb died & the check panel light is driving me crazy!

open your trunk open the toolbox there are i think 4 screws on the decklid and i think the top just lifts off when you get them all off

I did and it's still connected somehow and I prefer no light to damaging it.

what year is your cabrio. I think the 3rd brake light assembly came in 3 different forms through out the e30 cabrio lifespan. and each might be a little different. mine has 2 screws on the lense that give me access to the light bulb

I found & removed the four screws hiding under the foam the toolbox compresses into & it's still connected to something alittle behind the middle going toward the back window.

                        Thanks

ok just a sec let me run out to my car

ok there are a total of six screws
4 inside the tool box and then two more below it
if youu look inside the two holes the trunk below the tools there are screws in there

Thanks!!! its the two hidden inside the holes at the back of the trunklid & the two at the back of the tool kit. I got it out, it's the same fitting as the marker lamps (I put one in I had) but the bulb part is bigger and more watts. Anyone know how many watts it is? It's unmarked.
