The only common link between the HVAC fan and the recirc button is Fuse 20. Infact, everything on the heater/AC box inside the car comes from Fuse 20.

You aux fan can be wired into the E36 temp switch quite easily. The pins are in a different order though. On the E30 you should have:

    Pin1 (Green/Black) - Common 12v input (labelled '0' inside the switch)
Pin2 (Black) - Low speed output (labelled 'T1' inside the switch)
Pin3 (Black/Brown) - High speed output (labelled 'T2' inside the switch)

On the E36 switch you should have:

Pin1 - High speed output (labelled 'T2' inside the switch)
Pin2 - Common 12v input (labelled '0' inside the switch)
Pin3 - Low speed output (labelled 'T1' inside the switch)

Just connect the E30 wires to the E36 switch like this:

    Green/Black - Pin2
    Black - Pin3
    Black/Brown - Pin1

The three wire plug in the glove box is as follows:

    Pin1 - Black - Tacho signal
Pin2 - Green - Ignition 'ON' signal from IGN switch to DME (runs through OBC relay box if fitted)
Pin3 - White - Fuel rate signal for OBC, Econogauge and SI board in dash cluster

    Cheers,

    Ian.

Is there a better source online or did you just figure it out yourself? I used AKG's wiring, too. Do you happen to know which parts are wrong?

AKG's wiring info is probably correct for the car & engine they used. Unfortunately, the wiring does change on different models/years.

Your best bet is to get a copy of the ETM's and figure it out yourself. That's what I did on my conversion.

            Ian.
