I recently bought a 89 325is with a metric mechanic engine. It should be able to hit 7200 rpm but at about 5500 it seems like i hit the rev limiter! My first guess is at the FPR and i was wanting to get other peoples opinions and ideas, because i'm no licensed mechanic.

I have the 2900 sport and other than the rev limiter problem it runs awesome. I am really impressed with what they did to it. It could be so much faster if the r3v limiter was fixed. The cam kicks in at 4500 then i jump into the RL. It seems to vary with engine temp. 5500 when hot and 6200 when cold. thanks for the replies.-tim
