    I dunno it worked before.

Is there a way to get it to work with my new cluster. I think that is the problem...

I don't know exactly what the problem is, all I know is that my OBC didn't work with the old cluster, but now works perfectly with the new. All I can guess is that something was shorted or fried somewhere in the cluster. Sorry I can't be of more help.

It still does nothing. I was hoping it would work eventually.

So do I need to buy a OBC from a newer car, do I need a 13 button?

            TIA

This is like the last thing I need to fix. I really want to go 13 button, but wont waste the cash till I could figure this out. If not I would have to get an analog clock.

So since my 6 button will not turn on since I swapped the cluster, will an analog clock work?

I still for the best of me can not figure out why the cluster swap stopped the 6 button from working.

                TIA

I don't understand why it's not working either from your symptoms, but are you sure you got all the wires? Is the instrument cluster you installed after you painted the car different? Maybe something shorted out. I would try to get one in the Upick before I would swap it to a diffent one. I think there may be different wiring involved for the different obc's but i'm not sure.

I think it is the OBC not syncing with the cluster. When I plug in my old cluster the OBC at least lights up and gives me the time. I havent changed anywires. The instrument cluster was from an older car but still a I6, and I swapped my chip.

Rip that bitch outta the dash and replace it with something worthwhile. Like an oil pressure gauge. Who needs a clock anymore? Thermometer? Roll the window down..."Holy crap! It's fucking COLD!" or "SHIT! It's HOT!" Or "Damn, it's nice out! Time to crank the sunroof open!"
