Someone Please help, I am running out of ideas.

I have shimmy on my steering during breaking and once in a while even while driving on a straight road. I changed my rotors and pads up front thinking I have wrapped rotors. Unfortunately that was not the problem. I changed my tie rods control arms and bushings along with the strut mount up front and I still have the problem. What else can it be, I am really running out of ideas and it really annoys me especially after all the money I spent lately thinking it would fix the problem.

Maybe a weight missing on your wheels, check them out, if not that you may need your wheels balanced again. My car was doing it at about 50-60mph but it was just a weight missing off the front left wheel.

The left side wheel bearing has been replaced. As for the ball join, isnt that in the control arm itself because that has been replaced.

something in the front end is loose somewhere's along the way....

          re-tighten everything...
chances are if it's a wheels weight it would be there whether or not you were braking...

            here ya go..

try switching your back wheels with your fronts, and see if the shimmy goes away. Could be a seperation in your tire, or a broken ply.

switching the backs with the fronts is cheaper and faster and will not solve, but narrow down the problem.

you should do this every so offen anyhow, as your tread on your tires wears down, it throws out your balance ;) just incase you didn't know.

if the problem is a wheel that doesnt get rid of it it just shakes the back of the car instead

Thanks for all the input people, I'm going to get my rotors resurfaced and tires balanced and an alignment done tom. I will let you guys know the outcome just incase someone runs into the same type of problem in the future.

That's how you find out if the wheel is the problem. :)

Can the steering rack cause shimmy, I had it replaced with a remanufactured one about a year ago and it not leeking at all.
