    Please HELP (no 56K)

Okay, the pics below show the wires below the steering wheel.

The first pic shows two connections that are connected to nothing. Anyone know where they should be?

Pic two shows a large orange connector that isn't connected to anything. Should it be?

Pic three shows a large connector with many empty slots. Is this normal?

Right now my cruise control, power locks, and driver’s side door switch aren't working. Also fuse 27 (30AMP) is blowing as soon as I put a new fuse in even if the car is off.

    Please help if you can.

    TIA
    Spencer

in the first picture, the one on the right in your hand (looking at the picture) is the plug for a power sunroof, power cable. Im guessing you have a crank, if you ever do a power conversion, that's the plug you use. as for the rest, im not sure, im sure someone will chime in soon...

Everything orange under the dash is for airbag cars, which you don't have, so don't worry about those.

        FYI, fuse 27 is for:
        Interior Lights
        Central Locking
        OBC
        Radio Amplifier

So the cruise problem wouldn't be related to that fuse. That problem could be related to a bad clutch switch, that was my problem. (the switch that the pedal makes contact with when released)

I don't have premium sound-do I even have an external amp?
My interior lights are messed up. The drivers side door switch doesn't work and the passenge side light doesn't work. Any ideas on the passenger side light? Where do those wires go? I bet it's grounding out or something.

My radio wiring is a mess. I cleaned it up yesterday.

I have power sunroof and it works great.

I'm going to work on it more tonight so any ideas would be great.

Interior lights probably don't work because the fuse is blowing. :) Where's the smiley face slapping the other smiley face on top of the head emoticon when you need it? If your lights aren't working properly, that's got to be the reason for the fuse blowing out. For the driver's side door switch, just unscrew it and make sure the wires are properly connected on the back. For the passenger light, I guess check if the bulb is shot.

The blub is fine on the passenger light I tested with a known working bulb.

last night I took the drivers side door switch out and I cleaned it up. Still doesn't work. Must be the wires or something.
The lights aren't working because of the fues??? But the drivers side light does work? when the switch is ON or when the passenger side door is open.
