after breaking a new OEM $40 crank and eBay $20 crank I'm losing my patience with it. -
Bringing this thread back from the dead.. haven't seen anything recently, but has anyone done a writeup on how to do this? Thinking about it as I broke yet another crank handle but want to know what I am in for.Leave a comment:

how do you take the black panel off? the one with the sun visors.
I do not want to mess mine up that is why I am not going to experiment. Also when buying the electric one will all the parts be as one generally? I know there are many parts involved but...
Then again I will probabyl be pulling it off the donor car, the guy at the local yard leaves stuff like that, along with many sets of plastic bumpers
, on the cars, until someone wants them.

Yeah, the mod is pretty straight forward and fairly easy to do.. I thank God each time I don't have to use a crank anymore.Leave a comment:

Power Sunroof Conversion
So I just completed my power sunroof conversion, and honestly, the only hard part was figuring out why everybody considered this mod a complete nightmare...
that had to of been one of the easiest mods that i have ever completed.
So If you guys want any information on how to do the swap, let me know, all you need is the motor, motor mounting plate, the harness with switch, the power headllner, and 2 half inch machine screws (if you have the motor mounting screws that came with the power stuffs)
its a direct swap, at least on my 86, you just have to drill out 2 rivits to remove the manual mounting plate, and use 2 screws to connect the power motor mount plate to the sunroof cablesTags: None
