    Headgasket &...

    What else?

Anything else I should replace since I'm pulling the head? Timing belt for sure.

Water pump, buy a full top end gasket set if you can, clean, and reseal anything you open correctly. get a crank seal, t-belt, plugs, (Headbolts?) cooling system hoses, t-stat, and spraypaint. Lots of spraypaint.

      Crank seal or cam seal?

Going to do a valve adjustment as well. New eccentrics and bolts.

Also, I seem to have developed a leak from the top of the tranny, I assume this is the shifter gasket? Checked the vent and it's fine, doesn't seem to be coming from the seals.

Head bolts for sure, they are "torque to yield" and as such a one shot deal.

Torque sequence= 25 ft lbs- 90 degrees- wait 20 min another 90 degrees (some manuals have it incorrect)

note: Do not put any thing on the drain tube except for the o rings and a little grease on the lower one... it will leak if you try to "glue" it in.

        more questions? PM me.
