A m10 uses Bosch L-Jetronic for starters, where as a m20 is Bosch Motronic 1.1-1.3.
I'm not sure if the plug connectors are the same, but even if it does physically plug in, it won't work properly.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

They will give the wrong readings however and won't work - could always try transfer the electronics if the AFM is larger - even then the TB will be smaller. So it really isn't worth it.
I doubt little mods like that will see the M10 crack 45 wheel kW
