If your car had heated seats from the factory, it would have had switches. See if you can find a car w/heated seats to rob the console out of, it'll make your life easier.

well, i just took off the shift boot, and I didnt see any plugs... just the reverse light plug (at least that's what I think it is) hm... anyone know for sure where this plug (end of #5 in the pic) would be in a car not factory equiped with heated seats?Dan

On one of my 325iS' with heated seats...the wires were by the window switches then came up to the ebrake console if my memory serves me right. take the entire front and rear sections and fish around.
IF you want to use the factor power source and fuses, lemme know so I pull up my lil cheat sheet with the wiring which I have somewhere on my PC. All you do is tap the power source under the dash which is fused and then ground it.

How did you get on with this after??
I recently put some M3 heated leather in my sport, just bought a wiring loom from the dealers that runs from the junction box above the glove box, to the switches then to the seats, job done! Relay for the heated seats is shared with the electric sunroof.
