Wipers on, everything looks fine. But when I shut them off they stop 1/3 from the bottom. Any ideas? Thanks.

when they sweep, do they go lower than the stopping position? if not, you have to just undo the wiper arm, and reposition it. if they sweep below the stopping position, then you have to get in there at the linkage under the cowl. you can undo the bolt to the motor, reposition the linkage at the appropriate stop position and bolt it back.
the system detects the stopping point at the motor, not at the linkage. so you have to 'align' the linkage to the motor.90 E30 325i

#1 - stop the wipers. let them go to their non ideal rest position
#2 - disconnect the wiper motor to wiper linkage connection
#3 - wipers are now loose and can be moved by hand. reposition to desired rest position
#4 - reconnect wiper motor to linkage connection90 E30 325i
