    convertible blower motor?

so i ruined the rear defroster pulling of the completely bubbled purple 80's tint (dont ask, rrreeeaallllyy long story)

i want to know if i can use the rear defroster blower from an ic on my rear window. i see theres two vents facing the window in my rear tray, is that what theyre for? i cant see out the back window in the morning....

I'm not sure how much help just a blower would be. In most cases, you need heat to defrost.defog a window. I'd think the path of least resistance would be to get a good used window from a salvage yar.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I believe those 2 vents you speak of are nothing but holes to allow air to move more freely around the base of the window, they don't have any forced air traveling through them. I suppose you could try and rig up an iC blower underneath your parcel shelf, aim it correctly, wire it in to a 12V source and then to your defroster switch, but I think it would be easier to just get a new window. Or, try one of the various 'rear defroster repair kits' available in the interwebs or your local auto parts store.

You could defog the window faster by farting at it instead of using the iC blower.

Why are you trying to avoid changing the back window? Very easy on E30s since they are not glued in like most cars.

I believe those vents on the rear shelf are vents for the trunk. When you close the trunk, air can escape through there so the lid will close easier.
