Assuming you know the basics about transmissions and how they work...
There is pretty much no custom work involved. Here's a parts list:
5 spd transmission and driveshaft
Flex disc and center support bearing (new isn't a bad idea)
Flywheel (resurfaced)
Pilot bearing (new)
Clutch assembly (new disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pivot pin)
Master and slave cylinders (not expensive new)
Clutch hydraulics (one solid line, one rubber line, one cloth kind of line)
Shifter assembly (good time to put in a short shift lever) with new bushings
Pedal box
Any seals you want to replace
Misc. hardware: new flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts
The only custom work I had to do was making a hybrid pedal box. The manual pedals I got were from a non airbag car, and my car had an airbag. The airbag pedals support the back of the steering column. When I installed the non airbag pedals in my car, I could move my steering wheel up-down about 12". I had to cut up the old pedal box and fabricate a bracket to go in place of where the new pedals SHOULD have supported the back of the steering column. Pretty easy fix nonetheless.
