            The reason I'm asking is Pelican shows A as the pic for the '89 325i....but on my car (and it sounds like your cars) obviously it's B. I guess they just screwed up their photos.

                      Mines neither.
                      My idle control is a T shape one and its an 89 325i with a build date of 11/88.

                      It all depends on your build date. Find it on your drivers side door stickers

                          Its a 2 pin connector, which only ETA/M10's and perhaps 323i/320i's used

                          and the fact that its mounted on an M10 Motor

                              MIne is like B. Ive got the L shaped one because my build date is 10/88 unlike chesster6969's who has the T shaped one because of the later build date.
