    Delayed starter response?

My car has been acting weird lately, I will go to crank the engine, and sometimes the starter will start cranking instantly, somtimes it will take a second or two and then start cranking, and sometimes it just won't crank at all, and I just sit there.

the delay is when the key is in cranking position, I can hear the fuelpump turn on, and the ignition switch tests okay.

    any ideas?

james, since you have two cars, swap relays first. I don't know which one it is off the top of my head, but you can find that in the bentley. it might not be the relay of course, but that's a much easier thing to check than a starter motor. :)
