    Removing ABS pump

I’m preparing to paint my engine bay as part of a refresh under the hood, and I’ve always been hesitant about touching the brake lines. Is there a preferred way to remove the ABS pump for paint, in a way to lessen the likelihood of having air issues in the system after reinstallation?

Sup! All fluid passes through the pump. There's no way to avoid air during removal and a bleeding after reinstall. Just make sure you use flare wrenches and penetrating oil. Good luck! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Thanks — I didn’t think so, and couldn’t find any articles otherwise, but thought I should ask. Thanks!

just disconnect lines , remove abs pump and assembly then get the body panels instantly wet with lots of water. Brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs moisture). SO. if you add tons of water, you destroy it's effect it has on paint .
