    Question about starter bolts

So I was able to remove an E30 starter for the first time without too much trouble thanks to reading a bunch of threads here and a torx box end wrench from Amazon. I want to replace the torx head mounting bolts and have a question. Is the correct part number 07129904681? There are no torx head bolts shown on the starter diagram at RealOEM, but that part number is shown as part #8 on the Transmission Mounting Parts diagram and looks like it's for the starter.

    Thanks, Cory

Added diagram to OP showing part #8. Is this the mounting bolt for the starter?

    Thanks, Cory

Yep, looks about right. If anything, contact whichever vendor you'll buy the bolt(s) from and ask them to verify that it has an e12 head. The other trans bolts will be either e14 or e10. Only the starter bolts are e12 (assuming the car still has these original bolts).
E12 external bit socket with a 3/8 in. drive. Female torx bit socket. The black oxide finish resists against rust and corrosion.

Zambuzan - Thanks for the information. I cheaped out and got the torx socket set from Harbor Freight. They worked great on the lower starter bolt and the 4 transmission bolts I've loosened so far.
