    Quick parking brake spring validation

I have a rebuild kit that has a pair of bent springs and a pair of straight springs. Can someone tell me which is top and which is bottom?

Don't know why that kit has some bent springs, possibly a generic thing, and can't imagine the bend would stay, but I suspect that they go on the bottom. In any case, your original assembly will inform your work, and you'll see if you need the bent spring to clear an obstacle, which you shouldn't.

The OE springs have one that has the connection offset, the other centered. When installing you will notice the centered spring hits the bearing housing (or maybe the pulling mechanism?) on the bottom. The aftermarket springs have a bend in them as you show.

Got it. The bend goes on top with the bend being downward. It misses the adjuster.
