OBC Stays On Even When Car Is Turned Off?

    Hi Everyone,

I’m having an issue with my 6 button OBC, for some reason my OBC stays brightly lit even when my car is powered off. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what did you do to fix it?

    thanks

Mine was doing the same thing. I solved the problem by unplugging that useless toy. I'm planning on removing it and putting a delete plate in place.

This issue is caused by a failing SI board. You can replace the SI board with another used one but it will have the same problems or worse, causing your vehicle starting battery to drain, leaving your stranded. Best to send the SI board to be refurbished or remove the OBC completely. You should also note that is you remove your OBC, the inspection lights on the cluster will remain on, still causing your vehicle starting battery to drain. Your SI board needs to be refurbished.
