About to tackle some rust repair on my e30 (big hole directly underneath my acc. pedal that completely took out the metal bracket the pedal clips into). I was prepared to just buy this part ready made but I'm only able to find one person that makes them and they're located overseas and there's a very long wait time for the part. I feel pretty confident I could fabricate one myself, but since I don't have anything left of the original bracket I have no idea what the dimensions for the part should be. Does anyone here have some information that might help me? (eBay link to custom made part for reference) https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E30-Fac...IAAOSwWRFdf51s Thanks in advance.

I fabricated a replacement for my car. If you want to make one what you need to do is make a template based on that part of the pedal that will insert into the bracket. I made mine in two pieces that I could then adjust until the base of the pedal would “lock in” and the welded them together.1 Photo
