    Multiple Questions in 1 Post

    Hi Everyone!

I'm creating this post since i started working on the engine bay of my e30 and have 2 questions about some components that seem a bit out of place. The first one is a component attached to my fuel line. I've seen multiple how to's about replacing the fuel lines and i've never seen one of these devices attached to the fuel line. (Picture attached below). The second one is a wire that is not connected to anything in the same harness as the AFM and the TPS harness.

Sorry if they end up being obvious things I should've know already, I'm still learning about the E30 platform.

The plug is likely for the evaporative purge valve. The valve should be hanging below your throttle body and connected to the throttle body by vacuum hose.

I have no idea what that thing is on your fuel line.

The in line thing looks like a pressure sensor.

hmm i dont seem to have the purge valve.... can you provide photos of your engine bay? would this be something that someone would skip during the process of an engine swap? (considering mine's a swap) also, would this explain my hesitation on small throttle blips ?

My guess would be an old gauge. In any case I'd bet you can delete it now without issues.
