Quick fix - Pull out the instrument cluster, and pull the bulb. Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

No, but it's a lot easier if you do.

Yes, there is a 22mm nut under the roundel on your steering wheel. Super easy removal.

Just make sure that when you put it back on, that it is lined up right, or you will have a crooked wheel.

Trouble is, an autoparts store and a city don't mix well. The only store that was close to me, decided to relocate to the 'burbs! I am not even going to mention places like Sears, HD, etc. Rent is not cheap here.

I got my 22mm at Sears for like $2.89 or something.

Just pry up the roundel with a small flathead screwdriver (go around sides evenly, dont just lift from one side) and remove the 22m socket...and thats all there is to the steering wheel removal. Really? Thats it???

or just use the 7/8" SAE I just pulled off my wheel to get my cluster about 30 min ago and the biggest metric I had was 19mm so I used the 7/8 and it came of just fine

if you have a 4 way metric lug wrench it should have the right size for the steering wheel nut

or, rather than pulling the cluster and messing something up, pull the wheel with the tripped sensor (front driver or rear passenger), take the sensor off the pad (pry with a screwdriver) and cut off the end that went to the pad. Take the 2 wires that remain, and twist them together. Presto, the light will go off. This involves a screwdriver, a lug wench and the jack. You should have all those IN THE CAR - no tools needed.

Or, evern better, while you have the wheel off - replace the pads, if that is the problem - it is very very easy (and cheap). You can get pads for 30 bucks.....

The operative words in this post were QUICK FIX. He can fix the problem permanently later.

You'd have to be pretty incompetent to mess something up pulling a bulb out of the instrument cluster. These cars are like snap-together model kits.
