m3 gas gauges

It is my understanding that m3's have 55l gas tanks. If I'm right are their gauges the same as 55l non M cars other than a red needle?

I have an m cluster with a dead fuel gauge and I want to fix it correctly.

If the smaller tank is 55l, then you are probably right since everything else like level sender and fuel pumps are the same.
