my first help thread on my newly purchased e30 m3. Today i was driving and I started leaking coolant everywhere. The engine temp was fine and no other ODB lights came on.
Coolant leaks are fairly easy to find. Locate them then post back here for sugesstions. It is impossible to provide any suggestion with your post. I am sure you do not want to read a list of all possible coolant leaks.

maybe if coolant wasnt sprayed everywhere. Its been cold and raining here so i havnt been outside to see where the source of the leak could be. After some researching im leaning hard on the radiator cap, or one of the hoses. It sprayed or leaked coolant on something hot which created steam so im assuming the leak originated from up top, and not the lower radiator hose. However this is just a best guess at the moment. thermosat was changed not too long ago. And my temp gauge does work.
1, Visual inspection.
Look for split hoses, burst hoses . Look beneath the engine on the ground to find the rough area of the leak on the engine above. Look for wetness on the floor beneath the radiator.
2, Stone cold engine. Engine off.
Run your hand around all the hose clamps to detect wetness. (bad clamps or broken flanges.)
3, run your hand along the lower section of the water pump pulley, to detect wetness.(Bad Water pump).
4, If all seems dry, check coolant level and refill with distilled water. Start the engine and look for the location of the first seepage of fluid.
It is not rocket science.
AHHH! so i bought a new lower radiator hose attached everything back up. Found another hose leaking, tightened it back up. Turned it on and ran it. Come to find out the hoses started leaking again. Im guessing from built up pressure, so im assuming the thermostat is stuck which needs replaced? Oh the heater wasnt pushing hot air. This sound right?
