    Map sensor?

anyone ever try put a MAP sensor somewhere in dtm style intake plenum? I would really like to avoid tuning via Alpha N.

People haven't had good luck with a MAP sensor in the plenum on ITB engines like the S14. On the S14 they typically take map from all 4 of the nipples on the throtlebodies and I'm not sure how clean of a signal even that is. I think that's why the factory chose Alpha N and why all the S14 tuners followed suit. I've been running Maxx piggyback Alpha N open and closed loop for 10 years...no problems.
