Ive been looking at part tumblers recently too....seems like that would go well with a plating kit.

Caswell kit inbound. 1.5 gal with yellow chromate

Also purchased this power supply. 30v 10amp (vs the vw 20v 5amp) because I'm doing some larger parts, and because more power.

I also re-sorted my hardware tonight. Fun fact. Everything on this car is yellow zinc. These things must have looked insane when new. Box is yellow/gold, bags are silver, mixed (mostly gold), and black. Most of my other hardware boxes are empty now.

    Also added

    Zinc Blackener

    Benchtop Buffer

    Various pads and compounds

And picked up some more abrasives and muriatic acid. The lab is coming together

Yeh the problem with sending them off is they're all bagged and tagged. A plater will want to do them all in one go, and I would bet they wont come back as organized as they went out.

I also started painting my window trim. Very pleased with the results so far, except that i ran out of paint. More to come in November, along with this...

DIY Zinc plating system. In my research a guy restoring a Kawasaki motorcycle turned this....

    Into this....

A lot of fasteners have been discontinued or are now made in aluminum or a matte silver finish. Being able to anodize and yellow chromate coat my hardware at home as needed will be a huge help. I cant stand the look of a corroded bolt against fresh paint. Gotta get them clean! and gooooold!

Pukar Designs coming through with the rest of my labels. The Pukar color code is much heavier than the other one I had, will be swapping. Now with the stickers on I should be good to ceramic coat the engine bay.

Oh and the white one up close...

    Edit-they're on!

    Another before/after
