Ive done a complete U-turn on the front setup and just took the plunge and got some adjustable DTM control arms. Im quite excited about this development and should contribute to some good handling.

Some slow progress at the moment as we look to rewire the whole car, and take out anything that is unnecessary. Im glad Im not doing this part !

Loom is starting to look a lot better now with customised lengths and unnecessary bits taken out:

Control arms turned up today too

Yes, just noticed that. Photos are hosted on imageshack and for some reason the old links dont appear to be working anymore. Will put up some new links soon.

Since some of theold pics seems to have disappeared:

Pics of the car before I bought the shell:

And a pic of the car soon after I got the shell:

                        donor engine:

Here are some snaps of the engine being test fitted for custom mounts to be made up:

Everything all tested fitted and ready to take out for engine bay prep:

Needed to make some modifications to allow the front ARB to go around the front as the S54 has a rearward oil pickup in the sump. ARB is hollow to keep the weight in front of the axle to a minimum.

Some ancillary bits that I've been collecting along the way:
Decided on a standard M3 wing with Carbon DTM gurney flap

                          Nice lite flywheel - about 4.8kg : )

                          Custom diff

                          Proper Short Shifter

Some of my own handy work - including reclocking the tach so I can see when it's getting to th business end of the revs.

The huge amount of work that went in to cleaning up the bay:

The final product - well the engine bay at least:

                              And the re-fit

Car was now ready to go to the auto electrian for a full custom loom:
