Reviving an old thread because I want to do something in the same realm on my car.. My e36 struts have been ok for a while, but one of them is bent now and I've been thinking about this conversion ever since I first saw it.
I have a set of e36 M front strut housings.. But I DONT have a scrap set of e30 housings to cut the threaded portion off of. Is there any alternative? Has anyone found a place that makes their own struts and would possibly just sell the threaded upper sections?
