Naw. look too modern. There are some good Z4 wheels that would look good on a E30 though.

I don't think they'd look good. I've always wanted to try a set of the 17" 5 spoke X5 wheels though.

Has anyone used x5 wheels on an e36 suspension? a few years ago i sold a set of X5 17" double spokes to a guy who put them on an e36, but i wasnt sure if the larger x5 lugbolts meant that the holes in the rim are different

Local guy is running X5 18s. They seem to work, saw him track the car on them.

Theoretically it shouldn't be an issue, as none of the weight would be pushed by the bolt holes.

and you'd need hubcentric rings if running the x5 wheels as i believe they have the 74.1mm hub bore like the e39s, yes?

They actually don't, which is weird. The second gen ones do though (which also makes no sense, as E60s went back to 72.56).

And even more wierd.. the new E71 X6 has rims with identical widths and diameters, but different offset front to rear, so they have a different size hub front to back to prevent people from rotating the wheels! I think its smaller size up front and E39 size in the rear

E53 X5s had larger lug bolts at first (19mm heads) and then went back to 17mm bolts at the facelift. Not sure on the hub size though.

They use a 17 mm after 04 or 05 model year, but there is still a larger cone shaped part of the lug compared to a normal lug, like the ones on our E30's

This E36 came into the dealership the other day, with 5 spoke E53 rims on it.
