    I guess you are right ,, as i have oem E30 M3 swapp and E34 M5 mastercylinder+ booster

the stopping power on my car is really impressive

Heavier... Only if you pick heavy wheels. Light weight racing 5 lug wheels=not heavy at all and not even very expensive. You can even run small 5 lug wheels if you prefer... 15" 16" whatever you want. That is the best thing about teh 5 lugz... the possibilities are endless. Big brakes, balla wheels, racing wheels, small wheels, it all works. There is a reason cars don't have 4lugs anymore (safety standards) and why so many people have converted to what is now the standard. ;)

So what is this safety standard that makes 4 lug unsafe exactly?
Did you just make that up?

and my opinion on the topic is if it's worth doing to who ever is doing it,
then I guess it would be worth it. :)

I gained around 10lbs per corner in wheel & rubber, not to mention the heavier calipers and rotors. Going from a 14" 205 tire to a 17" 225 or 245 will be heavier!

Plus, with M3 front suspension I almost am forced to use 17" wheels.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my 5 lug swap, but 4 lug with a Massive kit is a great alternative that I would almost prefer.

ummm there are new cars out with less that five-lug wheels

what does that have to do with safety?
