rear z3 M brakes etc. with 318ti trailing arms

    Following this write-up:

I can't tell if I can use z3 M hubs and brakes on 318ti trailing arms using stock half-shafts, or if you have to use z3 M trailing arms with matching half-shafts and diff output flanges. Can anybody speak to this?

There is no Oem brake upgrade for the 318ti. So you're going to have to get the z3m trailing arms if you want to run the m3 brakes.

OK, so that also means z3 M diff output flanges and half-axles, since the arms move the hubs outboard, correct?

      Thanks for your help.

You can buy Massives 318ti rear BBK, which will also fix the brake bias problem if you are running E36 M3 calipers up front. I did this and it's back to having a great braking system.

          You are correct sir.

You can also use E36 M3 axles/diff flanges. They're the same.

Simple but expensive - Thanks for the link.

So not that bad other than the unobtanium z3M trailing arms, complicated but expensive, and you get the bigger wheel bearings.

At least there are choices. The current dinky 318ti rear brakes look ridiculous though, saving into my E30 piggy bank for a solution.

            Thanks to all!
