I am going to be doing a S52 or a S54 stap in my e30 not 100% on what one yet. Anyway I am wanting to know do you need a 5-lug swap for better breaking with this car if its mail purpose is daily driving? I dont think i would cause there is no real weight in crease. I would be putting on id like either 16s or 17s depending on what strikes my fancy and i have no problem getting a BBK for my car if needed but if i do not need a 5-lug then i can at least put it off till later.

Rebuild your stock calipers and get some good pads and rotors. Also with the different booster setups, a 25mm master cyl isnt a bad idea.
Brakes are the one area that is often overlooked and overbuilt instead of just rebuilt and maintained (which is often more than enough)
Brakes don't have to do with the power per say. More the weight of your car and the style of driving you are doing.sigpic

I think the main reason for 5-lug is the wheel selection grows quite a bit.sigpic

The stock M3 brakes aren't exactly groundbreaking, and being 5 lug makes no difference. They are still heavy, cast iron single piston brakes. The rotor is a little bit larger - but not by a huge amount.
if you can lock up your tires, bigger brakes aren't going to help you stop any faster, and if you aren't tracking the car, the extra heat capacity of a bigger rotor isn't going to do you any good either.
