    5 lug convesion question

hey all i just registered in the forums
been watching for almost a year now a lot of thing was learned through this forum

    need some help

    i swapped my E30 to 5 lug using :

    E36 non M control arms
    E36 non M hubs breaks spindles/steering knuckles
E36 M 97 top mounts fliped ( left to right and right to left )
E36 M conrtol arm offset bushings
    race land coilovers
    BBS RS 004 16x8

my problem is that the wheels are not in the center they are to the back :(
i have read that i have to use E36 M 96+ control arms and spindles

my question is do i have to change both control arms and spinldes or one of them will do the job ??

and if i used the E36 M 96+ spindles wich i found on bimmerworld now can i instal the non M bearing hubs disks brakes and calipers ??

because i already have those and i am on a budget other wise i love M goodies

    will uploud pics soon
    help !

You can use non-m spindles but need the 96+ M control arms

Yes, to center the wheel you need the 96+ M3 spindles and arms along with the offset CABs.

How did you install E36 strut mounts? Drill new strut tower holes?

You can run the non-M brakes on the M spindles but it's not ideal. You'll need to make a spacer for the caliper bracket to get it to center over the rotor.

here i go with half good pictures & car is very dirty :D

before installing the E36 M +96 top mounts this is the driver side as you can see
          [IMG][/IMG]

after installing the E36 M +96 top mounts (flipped) with coil overs i kept one hole untouched which is the far to the right and made the close hole a bit bigger and drilled a new hole for the left side one
          [IMG][/IMG]

my problem and rolled the fender because of 55 tires :(
          [IMG][/IMG]

          camber eat tire :D
          [IMG][/IMG]

note: the E36 M 96+ top mounts cant be installed with original springs as shown because of the spring diameter are too large and will hit the fire wall

Yes, the hub is the same part for M and non-M applications.

I would recommend checking on Bimmerforums. People part out E36 M3s there all the time.

the way you've flipped and located the top mounts is going to make it twitchy. I'd switch back to regular e30 tops or atleast swap sides of the car that they appear to be installed on.
