5 lug hub into the 4 lug strut.

Has even tried or has been successful in converting a 5 lug hub into a 4 lug strut?
Rather then trying to find an e30 M3 suspension (which is probably NEVER) or doing and e36. I'm thinking of getting e30 M3 hubs or equivalent and machining them down to the hub size for the 4 lug.

    Can it be done?

Is the inside diameter for the bearing different and or could the bearing be swapped to make it fit?

Would be interested in feedback; I need to know whether it's been done and what is required? brakes mods etc.

    thanks.

Look at a few threads on the page and you will see swaps for the 5 lug hub on regular E30 struts. The 4 lug strut has a smaller spindle diameter than the 5 lug so a sleeve needs to be made to fill the gap.

On the BMW hubs the hub is the outer bearing race. You cannot press out the bearing as there is only an inner race.
